Description

Tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)platinum is light yellow powder. It decomposes into a red liquid at 118~120℃ in the air, and melts into a yellow liquid at 159~160℃ in a vacuum. It is soluble in benzo and dissociated into three (triphenylphosphine) platinum. When the benzene solution is exposed to the air, due to the action of oxygen and carbon dioxide, white powdery carbon-based bis(triphenylphosphine) platinum (II) is slowly precipitated. It reacts with carbon tetrachloride to produce cis-dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine) platinum (II). It can also react with carbon oxides, acids, methyl iodide, fluoroalkyl derivatives, carbon disulfide, oxygen, chlorinated olefins, fluoroolefins, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen selenide, and sulfur dioxide to generate a lot of platinum (II) or platinum (0) The compound or complex. It is obtained by reducing the triphenylphosphine compound of potassium tetrachloroplatinum (II) acid in potassium hydroxide alcohol solution with hydrazine. As a catalyst for olefin hydrosilylation, carbon-silicon bond cleavage, silicone rubber vulcanization, carbonylation, hydrogenation, olefin isomerization, oxidation of organic mercury compounds, etc. It is also used as a raw material for the preparation of many platinum compounds.
