It is widely used in anti-corrosion coatings, chemical-resistant coatings and heat-resistant coatings. Silicone polymers used in coatings are mainly silicone resins and silicone-modified resins (such as alkyd resins, epoxy resins, etc.), and are also often used to prepare prepolymers of silicone (or modified) resins. It is used to prepare inorganic zinc silicate paints and other silicon-containing paints.
